Breast Cancer Walk

Last Saturday I took part in the Susan G Komen for a Cure 5K walk/run. It was the first time I had been there and I was amazed at all the people that attended. They estimated that 17,000 people did the 5K this year to raise money for breast cancer awareness, treatment, and one day a cure.
An estimated 40,480 women and 450 men will die from breast cancer in 2008. Those numbers are huge! I want to do my part in raising money to help people suffering from this disease, and the thousands that will be diagnosed this year.
I won't lie, the 5K was rough, but it was also one of the best feelings I've ever had and I'll do it again next year.
